Alzheimer’s Walk – WTSQ DJs Meet Up for a Good Cause

WTSQ DJ's Walk to End Alzheimer's
L to R: Kyle Friend, Roger Young (TwoGuys OneShow), Tom Sloan (Breaking Down the Pressure), Carrie Kirk (Out of Place), Rob James (The Wasteland), Lora Reynolds (88.1 MPH) and Erica Simanek (GroupE)

On the last Saturday in October, between all the Halloween festivities, our WTSQ DJs took part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Each of them has/has had a relative or friend with Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia. They were just one of many teams who joined the rest of the community in Charleston WV that day.
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
Each person received a flower and the color represents an aspect of how the walkers were touched by Alzheimer’s and Dementia:  orange to represent support for the cause; purple to symbolize a loved one lost to the disease; yellow to denote a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia; blue to indicate someone living with it.
The WTSQ Team Donation page  will be up til 12/31 to help us to help end Alzheimer’s.  Here are a few pics of the morning – looking forward to seeing you all out in the community soon!
