The Afternoon Show with Josh Gaffin provides the soundtrack you never knew you needed for your weekday afternoons, including eclectic music playlists (featuring indie rock/pop, new wave, punk, and local favorites), in-studio performances, and unique, engaging interviews with the most interesting people in the Kanawha Valley and beyond. Anything can happen on The Afternoon Show, and often does. Tune in for the music and stay for the laughs, surprise guest pop-ins, and off-the-wall discussions (usually involving cats and cupcakes). Josh was raised by wolves in Brooklyn and was introduced to radio by his older brother at the age of seven. He spent his teen years as an apprentice to DIY radio wizards (think Marconi being Dumbledore’s step-son) which later culminated in a glorious week of broadcasting with Radio NewYork International from a ship manchored off the Long Island coast. Josh has had a long and bizarre career in the music/media industry, including working for Rough Trade Records, Virgin Records (where he once had to get Keith Richards a case of Rebel Yell whiskey), and the legendary California punk label, Frontier Records. He also bought Lou Reed a LOT of coffee.
